LILA represents and advances the interests of professional chauffeured transportation companies across Long Island through advocacy, education, industry collaboration, and leadership.
Mission
Why the association exists
Chauffeured ground transportation on Long Island is a fragmented industry of owner-operated companies. Individually, a twenty-vehicle operator has little standing in a rulemaking process, no leverage in an insurance market and no practical way to track every jurisdictional change that affects daily dispatch.
Collectively, the picture changes. LILA consolidates member experience into documented positions, carries those positions to the people who write and enforce the rules, and returns what it learns to members in writing.
The association also sets a standard. Membership signals to corporate travel buyers, event planners and the public that a company meets a documented baseline for licensing, insurance and safety administration.
